RAK~ Is Random Acts of Kindness , Wouldn't it be great to receive a card, tag little note in the mail instead of Bill's & junk mail? What i would like to do is get a group of people that are willing to send a card, tag, note anything your little heart desires to another blogger friend. For my project today ive made a sweet little Birthday card using the birdhouse digi stamps .

I used BoBunny papers and colored with my copics , I did a little sewing and inking the edges add my favorite embelishment ribbon .. I've also used a stamp set from k.Andrews { positive thoughts }

Hello Getting Cricky with K Andrew fans!

Today I'm going to share a birthday card I made for my friend who lives in Spain!  I wanted the card to be whimsical and cheery because that is what I think of when I think of her!

I just love them!

Cancer Angels is a non-profit organization that helps aid Level 4 cancer patients of ALL kinds. Many of these patients have such severe cancer and chemo that working or holding down a job is near impossible. Cancer angels gives them hope and monetary help while undergoing treatment in this stage. Imagine finding out you have cancer, and losing your job, home, and everything else because you can't work. Sometimes you just need an angel...and this is my way of becoming a silent angel (all of us together) to those who so desperately need some good news in the midst of such a storm.

Storefront Shelter is my signature charity in which homeless children are found, rescued, and reunited with their parents if possible. If not, they are found new homes and are given intervention so they do not return to the streets. There are youth and children living on the streets; it's been reported that parents will drop their child off downtown, to abandon them. The children have no idea where they are, and no idea how to return home. Children also flee from abusive environments, and live in the streets. Just thinking about if something happened to me, and my children were placed in an abusive children's home, and my children ran away..if they were living on the streets. I can't imagine what it would be like to be a young child on the streets, but I can imagine a way to help them, and this is my way.


Intrepid Fallen Heroes is a non-profit organization that provides rehabilitative services to US military members who are severely disfigured from combat. (Imagine half a face blown off, or the loss of both legs). This charity is VERY dear to my heart, because there is nothing like being 20 years old, engaged, and coming home so disfigured you can't serve in the military anymore, and you don't even look like the person you were when you left. This is the price many of our service members make to keep us free. My hubby is an active duty military member, and I pray for his protection every time he is sent overseas; and I can't imagine what it would be like to fight and serve for my country and be horribly disfigured upon return, but I can imagine how amazing it would be to know there is help for you--this is my small way of helping those men and women who give up their lives so I can sleep peacefully at night.


Doorways for Women & Children is a nonprofit shelter that helps victims of domestic violence escape, and then gather the materials and tools needed to be successful on their own. 90.2% of all monies raised goes directly to the person in need.


Autism Research Institute was founded in 1967 to conduct and foster scientific research designed to improve the methods of diagnosing, treating, and preventing autism. ARI also disseminates research findings to parents and others worldwide seeking help. 85% of all monies raised goes directly to the aid of helping and preventing autism.

Camp Good Days & Special Times is an organzation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer and other life challenges through summer camping experiences and year-round events and activities. 86.5% goes directly to the children who have been affected by cancer or other life challenges (a parent lost)

Photo tutorial on how i make stick pins

I was asked to pull this link back up so I'm re posting it to show how i make my stick pins :-)

First off i want to say Thank-you Kristal for having me as a featured blogger and a Friend. I found Krystal many many months ago before i even started my own blog. I found myself visiting her daily! I enjoyed reading her encouraging words. And then she came out with her stamps sets and oh my goodness if you haven't seen them yet and really need to take a peek i just love them and have used all of the sets as much as i can. I bought all 6 because she gives $ 1.00 of every set to 6 different Charity's and don't let her fool you she also gives $1.00 of her own money for every set that's bought. So for my post  today i want to share a few cards that I've made using K.Andrews stamps .. I'm also going to share a little photo tutorial on how i make my stick pins ..Ive been asked many time's and i thought that i would give it a try :-)

This card is a card i call Pull out Tag card ..lol I'm not sure whats its really called , I used the stamp set "Splash-tastic summer " on this card.. I also handmade the flowers and of course the stickpin. I used a file from www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com "mermaid Buddy's" My all time favorite paper piercing file company ..
Yes Kristal I make the paper piercings my self :-) lol

I hand made this Rolled Ribbon and again added two pink ( my favorite color) stickpins

This is the front of my card , I took some scrap ribbon and sewed it to the front, added my rolled ribbon and then my stickpins

These are my Tags I just the stamp set "positive Thoughts " one of my favorites out of all of the sets

This tag stamp is from the "freedom isn't free " stamp set

I wanted to share a close up of the ribbon flower and the stickpins ..

This is the front of the card :-) I used the file "military kids" from little scraps of heaven.

This is a card that i made just for Kristal , I hope that you liked it hon :-)

The "Go ahead and laugh" is a stamp from " Positive thoughts" stamp
The owl is a file from " www.littlescrapsofheavendesings.com . I added a ribbon and a few flowers.

This is the inside of the card.. A handmade ribbon and stickpins made with Kristal's favorite colors

I made this little card for my son whom is heading to college, I used the "fabulous friends" stamp set & the lions are from yet again my favorite paper piercing company EVER www.littlescrapsofhevaendesigns.com

I made this little note book by using the "food for thought" stamp set :-) I also used the collection "My chocolet fix " from little scraps of heaven designs

 So this is how i make my stick pins .. I'm sure that there are many different ways to make them.

A photo of all of the things that i use.

These are the pins that i use. I get them from Michael's for $ 2.99 and i use earring backs for stoppers.

This is called tulle Fabric , Although i call it bridal Vail  ..

I color the tips of my pins with my copic markers.. although you can of course leave them white.

I cut out what ever I'm going to be using for a back .. this time i wanted to use a butterfly. I always ink the edges for an extra touch.

So i start by adding a drop of glue to the pin , and i added my beads , for every bead you add you use a drop of glue, You can use jewelry glue but i like using my glue gun.

 

I always add the Tulle Fabric to the centers of my projects .. just use a dab of glue to hold it into place.

I always add a ribbon to the background also :-) just for that added touch
